We are engaged in a number of ongoing projects to help serve our community:

 

Taste of Dr. Phillips- Every year since 2006 , A Taste of Dr. Phillips has attracted hundreds of area business leaders and residents, offering an excellent way to meet new friends from across the community and reconnect with old ones. This exclusive event also presents a terrific opportunity to sample for yourself the cuisine that’s helped distinguish the Dr. Phillips area as  “Restaurant Row,” and one of the most renowned culinary stretches in America.  And paired with those lip-smacking dishes are award-winning wines that are sure to please the most discriminating palate. Proceeds from this event will be invested back into the community to organizations like, Dr. Phillips High School Scholarship Fund, Dr. Phillips Hospital, Dr. Phillips Library, Dr. Phillips Foundation, and other Dr. Phillips Rotary Charitable causes.  Sunday, November 13, 2016 from 1:00 pm - 4:00 pm

Wine & Dine On The 9 - This annual event held on the Friday of the Arnold Palmer Invitational PGA Golf tournament. The Wine & Dine on 9 provides golf fans with not only a great day of golf at the tournament but a special hospitality event alongside the #9 fairway  from 2:00 to 5:30 p.m. This is the place to meet your friends to socialize and enjoy some exquisite wine and appetizer pairings from some of the top area restaurants who will be providing exquisite appetizers, each of which is paired with a wine sample. 
Birdies & BBQ  This annual event held on the Saturday at the Arnold Palmer Invitational PGA Golf tournament. This event is a  Gourmet Tailgate Party without the Cars!  Food is provided by local specialty BBQ restaurant 4Rivers.  Come enjoy world-class golf and BBQ from some of the best in Orlando -- all located on the 9th Fairway of the Bay Hill Club!  Great views & Great Fun!  Proceeds go to the Winnie Palmer and Arnold Palmer Hospitals.
Josh The Otter Josh The Otter- Our mission is to educate children and adults worldwide about water safety through the utilization of drowning prevention campaigns & early childhood water safety training. Josh the Baby Otter” was created to help children comprehend and remember this important message. Ultimately, we want to create a water safety behavior for all children that will be passed on from generation to generation. We have already distributed several thousand copies of the book to daycare, preschools, and kindergarten classrooms across the country. With ongoing support, we will continue our efforts to incorporate this life saving message into every educational curriculum in the United States and beyond. We believe the book; “Josh the Baby Otter” has and will continue to save countless children’s lives. 
A Gift For TeachingOur 2015 Annual "Back to school" Drive for A Gift for Teaching was a success! Did you know that the average teacher spends anywhere from $500-$1,000 of their own money to buy supplies for their students and classrooms? This year's campaign raised $2,000.00! The best part, for every dollar we donated, A Gift for Teaching is able to provide $10.00 worth of supplies via their partnerships! So, our contribution was just leveraged to $20,000.00 worth of supplies! A Gift for Teaching is a fabulous organization that supports teachers and students throughout Central Florida by providing school supplies year round! Teachers may visit A Gift for Teaching's huge store and shop for FREE!
Give Kids The World- a non-profit organization that exists only to fulfill the wishes of all children with life-threatening illnesses and their families from around the world to experience a memorable, joyful, cost-free visit to the Central Florida attractions, and to enjoy the magic of Give Kids The World Village for as long as there is a need.  Over 134,000 children have had their dream come true at Give Kids The World. No child in need has ever been turned away – and no child ever will. Give Kids The World is a place where families find joy, laughter, serenity, and a lifetime of memories. Give Kids The World exists solely to fulfill the wishes of these special children and their families, providing them a magical, memorable experience that will live in their hearts for years to come.‚Äč 
Salvation Army- From family tracing to disaster response, The Salvation Army offers a wide variety of services worldwide. The Salvation Army began in 1865 when William Booth, a London minister, gave up the comfort of his pulpit and decided to take his message into the streets where it would reach the poor, the homeless, the hungry and the destitute. Rotary Club of Dr. Phillips support the Salvation Army during its annual bell ringing fundraiser. Rotary Club of Dr. Phillips members, occupy a number of locations throughout the Orlando area, soliciting funds to support the Salvation Army's programs. Information and How To Get Involved CLICK HERE
Dr. Phillips High School- Dr. Phillips High School opened in fall of 1987 and was built for approximately 2,500 students in the Doctor Phillips, Florida area of Southwest Orange County, Florida. The school's first Principal, Bill Spoone was a Rotary Club of Dr. Phillips Rotarian for many years. The Rotary Club of Dr. Phillips is very active in providing annual support to Dr. Phillips High School through our scholarship program. 
Southwest Orlando Library - The Southwest Branch opened on March 21, 1989 in a beautiful Mediterranean style building serving the Dr. Phillips and Metrowest communities, Southwest is near International Drive and the attractions in the Dr. Phillips community. Southwest is a popular place for local adults, children, students and tourists. The Rotary Club of Dr. Phillips is very active in providing annual support to Southwest Orlando Library. 
Rotaract Club of Metro Orlando- We are proud to sponsor the Rotaract Club of Metro Orlando which was formed in 2011. This vibrant group of 30+ young professionals This group is specifically geared to service-minded, networking young professionals under the age of 40. Meetings are held at the University of Central Florida’s Executive Development Center in downtown Orlando. Rotaract programs include current events and issues to assist with their professional and leadership development. Rotaract supports various causes such as: American Lung Associations Fight for Air Climb, 2nd Harvest Food Pantry, Ronald McDonald House and the Orlando Regional Medical Center.
Dr. P Phillips YMCA - The purpose of this Association is to improve lives of all in Central Florida by connecting individuals, families and communities with opportunities based on Christian values that strengthen Spirit, Mind, and Body.  The Y is more than a health club. More than a community hub. More than a membership association. The Y is a coalition of men, women and children committed to the idea that our community can be better tomorrow than it is today. And together, we will make it that way.
